We have an exciting opportunity for a Scrum Master with our industry-leading client in Madison, NJ.

Responsibilities of the Scrum Master:

  • Support team employing a servant-leadership style
  • Ensure team is planning appropriately to meet product goals and timelines
  • Promote team empowerment and development while holding team accountable to commitments
  • Work with technical leaders to manage expectations for outcomes, stakeholder communications, and working with the Scrum team
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile/Scrum framework
  • Assess Scrum maturity of organization and coach team to higher levels of maturity

Requirements of the Scrum Master:

  • Degree in Business, IT, or related
  • 3+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role
  • Background in handling budgets, status reporting, and executive presentations a must!
  • First-level Scrum Master certification: CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP
  • Knowledge of XP, Kanban, Nexus, LeSS, SAFe, Crystal, FDD, etc.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with user stories, ATDD, TDD, continuous integration
  • Solid understanding of planning, roadmaps, and the ability to educate product owners and entire Scrum team
  • Ability to distinguish between what is Scrum and what is not Scrum
  • Exceptional communication and mentoring skills
  • Agile tools such as Jira, Rally, or equivalent
  • Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office Tools
