CGI Federal is looking for a Scrum Master to support digital transformation within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Financial Services Center (FCS). Within the FSC, the Financial Technology Service (FTS) is responsible for all Information Technology including requirements analysis and sizing, backlog management, scrum team governance, incremental/sprint planning, business value, dependency management, risk and impact analysis, scheduling, budget vs actual labor reporting, configuration management, testing, infrastructure operations, application modernization, cyber security, process improvement, and Agile Release Train orchestration.

FTS's IT products address a broad array of VA's enterprise requirements including timekeeping and payroll, accounting, financial reporting and auditing, healthcare claims processing, accounts payable and payment processing, employee travel and charge card, employee relocation, financial data analytics, and financial integration.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Follow agile practices to lead and facilitate scrum meetings (e.g., PI Planning, retrospectives, daily stand-ups, demos) and support the team by eliminating blockers along the way.
• Other duties include:
• Building relationships to encourage collaboration, transparency, and innovation across a highly cross-functional Agile software development team supporting CI/CD.
• Promoting Agile quality practices, coordinate across organizations, and serve as a resource to answer questions.
• Working directly with senior-level client leadership teams and other vendors in client-delivery engagement.
• Advising federal personnel on improvements to the standardization of processes.
• Coaching and mentoring teams in Agile practices
• Keeping the scrum team focussed on the tasks they have to accomplish in the time given.
• Coordinating with other scrum teams or release trains to ensure alignment.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or related scientific /technical discipline is required.
• SAFe Certified Scrum Master.
• 5+ years of experience, 3+ years of which must be Scrum Master experience.
• Experience in leading an Agile development team with automating application deployments, scaling, and management.
• Experience facilitating briefings to senior leadership and the strong ability to capture actions resulting from meetings and requests.
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Kanban agile methods is highly desired.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

• Experience working with Federal government.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,000 - $165,300."
