Overview:

Measurabl is committing to be an Agile company. As we transition from “Scrummerfall”, the Scrum Master serves as the Agile expert and guides the teams to adopt Agile principles. The Scrum Master will coach, facilitate and train by following consistent processes and practices fostering high-functioning Agile teams focused on shipping value to our customers.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

The essential functions and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies for one or more Scrum teams
  • Help implement and improve Agile practices for these teams
  • Work with Senior Scrum Master to understand how to improve our practices
  • Coach teams on effectively adopting Scrum
  • Help teams align with our goal of delivering incremental value
  • Coach the Product Owner on best practices for backlog management
  • Track and facilitate the removal of impediments
  • Guide team towards self-organization
  • Protect the team from outside distractions
  • Partner with Engineering Managers on team health and sustainability
  • Help improve the application of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) to our Scrum process
  • Provide recommendations for improving our Agile flow
  • Provide recommendations for incorporating Agile beyond the team

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with others in a diverse, multiethnic and multicultural work environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, decentralized environment
  • Ability and desire to focus on continuous improvement and learning and development to ensure we are best positioned to deliver a world-class product to our customers
  • Strong understanding and applied experience with Agile Scrum development principles
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate Scrum teams in a remote first environment
  • Proficiency with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket

Education & Experience:

We have identified the following programs, experience, and knowledge that have helped others find success in this role at Measurabl. We understand though that knowledge comes from many forms of learning and experiences. Above all, we consider a person’s potential impact in the role and value their unique path to this point in their career.

  • 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or project manager in a professional Agile environment
  • Certified Scrum Master certification or higher
  • Experience working in an Agile Software Engineering organization
  • Experience hosting synchronous meeting and driving asynchronous collaboration in a distributed environment
  • Experience with Jira including JQL, reporting, and project administration
  • A combination of professional or educational experience (whether formal or informal) that affords you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities above

Supervisory Responsibility:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation Range:

  • $104,571 to $127,810 + DOE
