On a daily basis, this individual will be working as a Sr Scrum Master within the Provider product group for our client. They will lead a dev team of 7-host standups, assist product owners, teach scrum principles, and overall remove obstacles for development team. In addition, they will also be leading and mentoring 2-3 other Scrum Masters within the product group around Scrum best practices.

Candidate must have sr level experience as a Scrum Master, and excellent communication skills.

They will be working with Dev teams, Product Owners, testers, technical managers, business units, etc. They will be responsible primarily for breaking down barriers, keeping velocity up, doing iteration planning/milestone planning through SAFe Methodology. Will be responsible for coaching team members, hosting daily standups, assisting the product owner teams, remove roadblocks and teach overall scrum principles.

(The Scaled Agile Framework, or SAFe, is an agile framework developed for development teams. Most importantly, SAFE's foundation consists of three metaphorical pillars: Team, Program, and Portfolio. Furthermore, SAFe gives a product team flexibility. Agile is mainly developed for a small team of ten or fewer people. SAFe, on the other hand, is an agile framework for an enterprise which is not limited to smaller teams and guides enterprises in scaling lean and agile practices).

Key Responsibilities:

Teaches and mentors Agile Scrum across the Enterprise using our clients SDLC.

Works with other Level II or III scrum masters in conjunction with the Strategic Portfolio Governance team to evolve the eSDLC as needed.

Trains, mentor and coaches Domain Product Owners, TPOs and other Scrum Masters.

Maintains and supports a Scrum Master Community of Practice.

Acts in a change-agent capacity by engaging leadership of all levels to facilitate the removal of impediments and implementation of proactive enhancements within the organization.

Assists in the design and implementation of necessary organizational change to support Agile delivery through the eSDLC.

Participates in the organization change necessary to align contributors and teams to the eSDLC to maximize delivery, quality and customer/business partner satisfaction.

Carries out requirements and eSDLC training compatible with multiple audiences (i.e., business partners, management, product contributors) in accordance with corporate standards.

Key Metrics:

Maximize Quality

o Contains bugs within the teams iteration and drives leakage to as close to 0% as possible.

Maximize Delivery

o Drives teams actuals to within 10% of estimates through proper inspection and adaption techniques.

o Drives teams percent increase in velocity year-over-year by a minimum of 5% per year through proper inspection and adaption techniques.

o Ensures the team creates the necessary essential templates for each feature, including low-level designs, 100% of the time in adherence to the eSDLC.

Enhanced Predictability

o Drives the teams percent of sprint plan commitments over the course of a release to 100% through proper inspection and adaptation techniques.

Control Risk

o Drives the number of open issues (impediments) that could delay one or more teams to as close to 0 as possible.

Ensure Transparency

o Ensures key inputs (Definition of Ready) are filled in and key outputs (Definition of Done) are communicated effectively at appropriate levels (team, management, business partners, etc.) within the commensurate timeframes.
