Scrum Master

What does a successful Scrum Master do at Fiserv?

As the Scrum Master, you will be responsible for managing an agile based SDLC focusing on building new features, upgrading, and maintaining applications. As a Scrum Master you are expected to institute the Agile best practices in the Scrum teams.

What you will do:

You will be key in driving the way we work and deliver value to our customers. You will be responsible for ensuring scrum teams are able to work in the best way possible. You will be supporting the refinement of our development processes to ensure our scrum teams work in a way that is both productive and sustainable.

What you will need to have:

​Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or other equivalent technical discipline

• Experience in the day-to-day practicalities of Agile software Product Development Lifecycles such as Scrum, SAFe, DAD, Lean Agile, Kanban, etc
• Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, etc.
• 4+ years of practical experience managing enterprise application development as a Scrum Master

Microsoft Tools (Office, Sharepoint, Advanced MS Excel)
• Other: Jira, ServicePoint, Clarity, Confluence, agility(v1)
• Strong knowledge and working experience of scrum based Agile methodology
• Manage & Facilitate scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-Up, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, Demo and Retrospective)
• Drive scrum and assume responsibility for project tasks and ensure they are completed in a timely fashion
• Identify obstacles which might impact the delivery of user stories and provide support to remove them
• Ensure that stories are properly groomed and available to be worked on in future sprint
• Serve as liaison between the product owner, development team, and management in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met.
• Project scheduling; Risk & Issue Management
• Sprint tracking & metrics (Sprint reporting, capacity, burndown); Prepare the sprint reports after finishing the sprint
• Communicate and negotiate requirements for end users
• Guide the Business Analyst to sustain the Product Backlog and maximize value
• Strong analytical skills, problem solving, communication skill and presentation skills
• Collaborate with business analyst/developer frequently for quality assurance of deliverables
• Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
• Passion and desire to servant lead, coaching the team(s) to self-organization and embrace empowerment
• Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem solving
• Work together with business to get the priority stories and epics
