Lead Scrum Master

Experis has several opportunities for a Lead Scrum Master supporting one of our Enterprise Fortune 50 Financial Services Clients. This team supports highly visible projects undergoing a large transformation across several verticals. 

LEAD SCRUM MASTER – 12+ Month Contract with ability to extended and convert

Locations: Charlotte, NC, Summit, NJ, OR NY, NY or Minneapolis, MN

Hybrid schedule 2-3 days a week.  Need willingness to be present.

Job Description
 

  • organization is undergoing a transformation in several vertical groups and as an organization they are shifting from a project to a project mindset.  They are standing up an Agile Center of Excellence.
  • The impact that this team has is broad and very integral to how technology is driven, built and deployed in their environments.  There is a lot of ability to influence target state and build things the right way and drive that change.
  • Organization has a lot of energy around agile transformation.  The leader in this group wants to be the example of how the rest of the Organization needs to operate.
  • Important to note:  They are not going to be at the delivery level executing against stories.  They will be operating at the product level with product manager, and the “Product” is going to be tech governance. 

Duties

  • Manage and develop Scaled Agile portfolios of the highest complexity.
  • Guide the teams to follow Agile and Scrum practices to promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint.
  • Optimize scrum team velocity to identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance.
  • Oversee systemic impediments to team agility and guide the teams on methods to escalate.
  • Deliver capabilities using agile practices while following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes to ensure all risk, security, and development requirements are met.
  • Partner with discipline managers to convey their concerns to scrum teams about governance policies and adherence to corporate standards.
  • Collaborate with product owners, program or project managers to communicate delivery of work product from the teams and escalate key risks and issues impeding scrum team effectiveness.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Interact with internal customers.
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Train other Scrum Masters and serve as a mentor to less experienced staff.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Practicing Agile Scrum Master experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
