A government organization located in Washington, DC is actively seeking a collaborative and dynamic professional to join their staff as their new Scrum Master. In this role, the Scrum Master will facilitate and document the discovery and design phases of new product development, including analyzing the customer needs and finding the solutions to address them. Responsibilities The Scrum Master will: Work with internal and external customers to interpret business requirements and produce functional specifications Create requirements in the form of user stories with appropriate acceptance criteria Prepare documents like wireframes, design flow, UI, etc. as and when required Consult with subject matter experts and technical resources to understand feasibility of requests and solutions Work with the product owner to create and prioritize the product backlog Groom the product backlog based on the prioritization provided by the product owner Organize and manage the scrum process and activities Unblock development team by obtaining clarification and approval from stakeholders Assist with end user documentation and training as needed Contribute to continual improvement of the software development process Qualifications Bachelor's in Computer Science, MIS, or related field 8+ years of experience working as part of an agile development team as a business analyst or scrum master Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification Knowledge of Requirements Management tools, Microsoft Suite of products, and AzureDevOps (ADO) Experience working with Agile Software Development Methodology Working knowledge of key technical concepts, such as modern backend applications, cloud-based systems, web services, frameworks, etc. Demonstrates initiative Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
