L3Harris' Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Scrum Master to join our team. This position will be based at our Rochester, NY facility and offers a Hybrid and 9/80 work schedule.

Position Overview:

The Tactical Communications business sector of L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is an industry leading provider of radio equipment and software to the defense industry, both at home and abroad. We are currently seeking a certified scrum master to support multiple teams in the area of applications software development. The successful candidate will be experienced with scrum theory and practice, and able to provide guidance in the promotion and enforcement of Agile processes. The scrum master will also have proven experience with facilitation techniques, servant leadership, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, and engagement.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Facilitator and Coach in the area of Agile Scrum for software development.
* Gathers / collect / monitors / reviews scrum metrics and obtains feedback from team.
* Recommends enhancements to software team, systems, and processes.
* Assists team / product owner / solution owners w/ product backlog and grooming of stories.
* Communicates with stakeholders inside and outside of own department or team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
* Works to proactively manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, ensuring that they are identified, coordinated, mitigated or escalated as necessary
* Assists in the onboarding of new team members - providing guidance, Agile coaching and training to employees within domain area.
* Removes team roadblocks and facilitates meetings for the team.
* Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree and minimum of 6 years of prior related experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Certified Scrum Master
* Experienced at working in large-scale Scrum frameworks such as LeSS or SAFe.
* Experienced with Atlassian toolset ( JIRA and Confluence ).
* Familiarity with software product development on a variety of platforms.
* Familiarity with MS project schedules and MS Excel.
