Job DescriptionCertification: Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or equivalent. Customer: The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH) at the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Job Description: The Sr. Scrum Master works closely with development teams and product owners to create a transparent and reliable environment to enable project success. Works closely with product owners and stakeholders to ensure vision, roadmaps, critical success factors, and personas are well defined, and dependencies are understood. Provide coaching and training as needed to team members and stakeholders and empower the team to self-organize. Responsibilities: Serves as a scrum master for two or more Scrum teams. Lead daily stand-up, sprint ceremonies (review, retrospection, spring and release planning, demos), and other project-related meetings, coaching the team on Agile principles and best practices. Maintain product and sprint backlog, facilitate clear communication and transparency across teams and identify and resolve issues during execution Proactively identify impediments and work with the teams to remove or escalate. Responsible for identifying the artifacts required for the HHS EPLC (Enterprise Performance Life Cycle) Framework and delivering them at required phase gates Promotes and leads continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. Promote on-time delivery and continuous improvement by applying metrics to identify areas of improvement. Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field of study, and 10+ years of relevant experience. Minimum 5+ years as a practicing Scrum Master Agile experience/knowledge of key agile techniques including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, etc. Working knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence, Git, TFS, GitLab, GitHub and other DevOps tools. Exceptional communication skills including influencing and leading others. Strong collaboration and project management skills and abilities. Nice to have: Prior experience in software development a plus Experience delivering software using Agile or Hybrid methodology a plus Experience working within a DevSecOps culture. Experience working with and managing expectations of multiple key stakeholders. Familiar with AWS or GCP or another cloud environment Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus Familiarity with SAFe methodology.
