The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's/applicant's qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.The end client is unable to sponsor or transfer visas for this position; all parties authorized to work in the US without sponsorship are encouraged to apply.Our Client is seeking a Scrum Master in Raleigh, NC.Role DescriptionAs a Scrum Master I you blend deep scrum expertise with a passion for mentoring and coaching, and constant improvement. As part of a highly partner driven team you will advise, mentor, coach, and train on performance against agile values, practices, and processes to accelerate team value delivery.In partnership with the program manager, you will maintain a backlog, help to remove impediments, and facilitate agile ceremonies such as the daily stand up, sprint planning, backlog refinement and retrospectives. You will have responsibility for release management coordination and participate in scaling ceremonies and activities as you manage interdependencies across teams and product areas.You will examine and drive team performance through metrics and find opportunities for the team to fully realize the benefits of working in an agile structure.•Working collaboratively with company development teams and Program Managers to enable delivery of the team's mission through well-executed sprints.•Accelerating overall team performance, efficiency and value delivered by engaging within and across teams to find opportunities to improve agile maturity and metrics, and providing coaching, training, and resources•Maintaining and updating team performance metrics (e.g., burn-down charts) and artifacts to ensure accurate and clear feedback to the team members and transparency to other partners within the organization.•Managing, coordinating logistics for, and participating in agile events (e.g., backlog prioritization, sprint planning, daily meetings, retrospectives and as appropriate, scrum of scrum masters)•Supporting adoption, and consistent use of enabling tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, MS Teams)•Facilitate Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective)•Help the Development Team to create and maintain the Product Backlog•Monitor progress against the Goal and ensure that the team is working towards it•Assist the team with removing any impediments that are preventing them from achieving their goals Educate the team on Agile principles and practicesSkills& Requirements•Experience working with or in agile teams with good understanding of agile practices.•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with project management tools.•Jira and Confluence experience highly preferred.•LucidChart and LucidSpark experience highly preferred.•Possess excellent communication and people-interaction skills and can rapidly build trust and positively influence others at all levels of the organization.•With mentor support, demonstrate a continuous improvement approach.•Proven change agent capable of coaching agile practices (with mentor support) to teams and individuals from across different functions, experiences, and geographies as they work through new and unfamiliar situations.•Effective facilitator (with mentor support) and can brainstorm with the team to generate solutions that address challenges and roadblocks to accelerating value delivery.•Intellectually curious and passionate about learning new skills and model a culture of continuous learning and coaching.•Knowledge of Agile methods or frameworks.
