Job DescriptionJob Title: Scrum MasterResponsibilities of the Scrum Master: EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking candidates for a full-time Scrum Master supporting the U.S Army IPPS-A Program in Crystal City, VA. The Scrum Master will utilize an Agile project management framework to help the IPPS-A work together to deliver agreed outcomes, execute product enhancements, and deliver superior customer service. The work will predominately be on site at the program management office with the opportunity to work remotely up to two to three days per week.The Scrum Master will: Ensure Scrum is understood; and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines. Work with Scrum Team as well as internal and external stakeholders to influence and drive decision-making and support organizational project or product teams. Resolve conflicts, remove impediments, and coach the Scrum team on overcoming obstacles. Help the Scrum and development teams to identify and fill in blanks in the Agile framework. Support the product owner and provide education where needed.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 10+ years of IT experience. 5+ years of Federal government Agile delivery experience and/or recent hands-on experience as a Scrum Master. Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or other equivalent certifications (PMI ACP, etc.). Prior experience on a Scrum Team with knowledge of Scrum techniques. Experience with successful Agile techniques. Ability to work with and lead a team and resolve conflict. Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills. Ability to think quickly and adapt to a changing environment.
