A client with Kforce in Orlando, FL is seeking a Scrum Master/Project Manager to join their team in a hybrid environment.

The team is looking for a Scrum Master/Project Manager with experience managing scrum teams, full-stack, front-end, QE's and back-end developers. The current team is pretty large (20+ people), but they all work very well together. The Scrum Master's Day to day will consist of regular scrum cadences and daily stand-ups. The right candidate will need to be able to support the team throughout the day, facilitate retros and work with the developers to fix any blockers they may have. There may be fire drills on occasion, and it is also occasionally a fast-paced environment, so this person should be able to pivot quickly and focus on what is important in the moment. The team likes to have fun and despite not being a large group, everyone gets along well. There are team bonding exercises weekly to decompress. The team is looking for someone who can get along with everyone, a team player.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Agile/Scrum Practices:

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint demos; Work with the Release Train Engineer to integrate efforts, other teams; Consult with the Product Owner to validate and communicate team priorities; Guide, coach and motivate the team with the goal of increasing productivity
  • Guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to drive end value
  • Serve as the team's Scrum expert; Guide the team toward improving the way they work; Remove impediments to help the team reach an optimum, sustainable velocity
  • Leads the team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks
  • Foster accountability, transparency, and regularity in status updates; Remove impediments external to the team; Ensure that the Rally system is always up to date to reflect the current state
