The nation's leading provider of Insuarnce is seeking a Scrum Master to join their dynamic team!
ABOUT THE ROLE: The Scrum Master is responsible for managing all Agile team processes, promoting collaboration and developing ways to show team productivity, impacts and opportunities for improvements. This role should also have a technical understanding of software development and technology in order to challenge the teams and strive for improving our agile best practices. Responsibilities:
Facilitate all agile related meetings (sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, etc.) and ensure productivity and value
Lead product teams in using Agile methodology and practices, while empowering, energizing and motivating the teams
Assist the delivery team to estimate work, define/validate requirements and create deliverables
Partner with engineering, product, and business to build highly collaborative teams and to enhance communication across teams and stakeholders
Provide guidance and direction required for meeting business and technical objectives
Coordinate tasks across product teams, promote self-management and proactively resolve conflicts and barriers
Identify improvement opportunities to achieve higher levels of team performance
Work with product owners to understand and document business processes/rules, identify areas for improvement and define/document solutions to existing problems
Work with business stakeholders, product teams and cross functional teams to gather and document business requirements
Required Skills/Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
5 + years of experience in Agile Methodologies with a minimum of three years in the Scrum Master role
Experience using Agile tools such as JIRA
Preferred (not required): Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
