The role is responsible for being the Scrum/Squad leader of the eCommerce development team. The ideal candidate can facilitate daily scrums, stand-ups, and meetings across the teams and their independent sprints. The Scrum Master works closely with the Product Owner to support release planning, fosters team decision making, and encourages cross-training and team support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Work with development teams and product owners to help ensure execution alignment for Scrum teams
Facilitate Agile Scrum team execution
Support the creation, refinement, and prioritization of user stories within a product backlog
Identify and create metrics that measure and report on team performance, backlog health, and continuous improvement
Administer metrics tracking and other duties on behalf of the team
Arrange and facilitate daily stand-up meetings and demos/retrospectives. Ensure quick inspection and proper use of an Agile process
Assist in the resolution of impediments to support the timely completion of sprint deliverables and escalate as needed
Maintain and help to bring closure on RAID (risks, actions, issues, and decisions) items
Encourage and guide the adoption of Agile policies and procedures
Provide coaching on Agile practices and methods for assigned as well as other Scrum teams
Support the implementation of improvement areas identified in team retrospectives
Foster close cooperation across all team members
Ensure the work implemented by teams adheres to defined steps and procedures
Manages interdependencies between agile teams
Work with the Product Owner to support short and long-term release planning and to keep work backlog healthy and prepared for execution
Encourages cross-training and team support
Have good communication, analytical and presentation skills, problem-solving skills and learning attitude
Manages scrum team resources’ project hours
Prepare weekly progress report for leadership
Act as a servant leader for multiple teams and their stakeholders
Work as a project manager/coordinator as needed
Anticipate and addresses potential or actual impediments to team delivery (barriers and logistic challenges)
Be open to shoulder additional or changed responsibilities within the eCommerce technology team

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related field or equivalent experience (required)
5+ years of combined experience as a program/project manager and/or scrum master (required)
3+ years of experience as a scrum master (required)
2+ years of experience as a scrum master in the eCommerce domain (required)
2+ Project management (preferred)
Scrum Master certification (preferred)
Worked with the team that has onshore and offshore team members (preferred)
