Title: Scrum Master
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: ASAP - 4/30/2023 (chance of extension possible!)
Rate: $48 - $55/hr W2
Scrum Master Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as Scrum Master for one to three teams, providing a learning environment to deliver business value.
Develop a deep understanding of product offerings and vision to guide its teams.
Challenge, coach and guide teams using agile and lean principles.
Emphasize code quality, with an emphasis on small, focused user stories.
Experiment with and integrate processes and tools that enable continuous improvement.
Apply metrics to provide teams and the organization with relevant feedback
Skills:
Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
Experience acting as a software development team's Scrum Master
Knowledge of Lean, XP, Kanban, DevOps and other Agile development techniques
Experience with customer-facing web application development
Education Preferred Qualifications:
BA/BS or higher Level III - Advanced: 6-8 years
Familiarity with Agile configuration and administration Conversant in Lean, XP, Kanban, DevOps, Continuous Deployment and other Agile development techniques Background in business development, quality assurance or technical development
Other Scrum certifications such as:
Certified Scrum Product Owner,
Experience with continuous delivery,
DevOps, and release management
Daily Responsibilities:
Facility events and remove any blockages the teams are facing – looking for someone who can lead 2 to 3 teams.
50% running Agile ceremonies
25% - coaching the team, improving maturity in process and driving engineering excellence
25 – improving Agile practice, including building reporting, helping create new processes and training/workshops
Top 3 Requirements:
- Knowledge of Scrum Practices-Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- Knowledge Jira, Clarizen, and Confluence. Understanding how process works and how to use tools- Experience acting as a software development team's Scrum Master
- Experience creating reports in SQL
