Your future duties and responsibilities

• Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
• Acting as the key interface between the users/Product Owners and the development team.
• Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
• Guides and coaches staff on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.
• Trains and mentors team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
• Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice and guidelines.
• Works with program staff as well as internal and external stakeholders to influence and drive decision-making and support organizational project or product teams.
• Resolves team impediments.
• Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
• Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective.
• Acts as a leader who coaches and supports Agile teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required as well as successful passing of CGI background check prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience as a standalone Scrum Master.
• Thorough understanding of, and master level experience with, Agile methodology and Scrum processes.
• This is a highly-interactive role and as such, you will need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organization and prioritization skills with the ability to work multiple deadlines and with several teams simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively plan and run team meetings.
• Ability to relate epics, tickets and sub-tasks to milestones and tasks for specific schedule/event tracking.

Desired Qualifications:
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating meetings at multiple levels of an organization and an understanding of facilitation techniques.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, ServiceNow Agile Development tool and ServiceNow HR Service Delivery.
