Position Description

CGI Federal is currently seeking a Scrum Master to support a contract with the Defense Logistics Agency. DLA's Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) is the premier source of DoD procure-to-pay capabilities. The PIEE solution seeks to improve transparency into the procurement process and allow for the timely payment for goods and services.

Your future duties and responsibilities

The Scrum Master is responsible for leading the software development team by overseeing design, implementation, Quality Assurance (QA), and validation of programming code and products. Creating project outlines and timelines; facilitating daily scrums, stand-ups, and meetings to monitor project progress and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing; removing project obstacles; and documenting progress and communicate to appropriate audience.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Guides and coaches staff on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.
• Trains and mentors team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
• Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice and guidelines.
• Coaches the staff members in self-organization, cross-functional skillset and domain knowledge and communicates effectively, both internally and externally, while working within the Scrum team.
• Works with program staff as well as internal and external stakeholders to influence and drive decision-making and support organizational project or product teams.
• Resolves team impediments.
• Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
• Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective.
• Acts as a leader who coaches and supports Agile teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship and an active Secret clearance is required.
• Bachelor's degree

Position requires 2-5 years of experience in:

• Experience with Agile methodology and Scrum processes.
• Experience in DEVOPS
• Experience managing projects leveraging commercial cloud infrastructure
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent organization and prioritization skills with the ability to work multiple deadlines and with several teams simultaneously.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively plan and run team meetings.
• Ability to relate epics, tickets and sub-tasks to milestones and tasks for specific schedule/event tracking.
