Scrum Master

The Intersect Group is seeking a Scrum Master for our client in Richardson, Texas. The Scrum Master will lead the delivery of a wide variety of initiatives, using best fit methodologies with a focus on delivering business value.


  • Arrange for daily stand-up meetings, facilitate and schedule meetings, demo and follow local scrum ceremonies (daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective, etc.)
  • Properly manage the backlog and aid team in determining suitable commitments for product backlog items and sprints
  • Create a positive and easy communication channel (team, product owner, stakeholders)
  • Address team dynamics
  • Resolve conflict and resource constraints
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity and innovation
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to coach and support team members with limited experience in Agile/Scrum


  • 5+ years of Agile delivery experience/recent hands-on experience as a Scrum Master
  • Experience working on waterfall projects is highly preferred
  • Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified or Professional Scrum Trainer (CST, PST)
  • Experience with Infrastructure teams with an understanding of development and quality disciplines
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or similar as a tool to assist scrum team efficiency
  • Proficient in agile/scrum development methodology
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively respond to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, continuous improvement, customer service and project delivery excellence characterized by professional respect for every level of project team, selfless dedication to the success of project teams, and leadership behavior that encourages others to go above and beyond
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence and establish positive working relationships across all levels of throughout the organization
  • Detail-oriented with a proven history as a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of the banking industry/financial sector
  • Knowledge and experience with various treasury systems, such as wire processing, ACH/Payments and deposit operating systems
  • Experience working with Treasury Operations and/or Treasury Product Management for first-hand knowledge of how to improve products and services for clients
