Description

Sinclair Broadcast Group is in search of a talented Scrum Master who is passionate about coaching teams on Scrum and Agile Principles throughout the organization. The ideal Scrum Master will have the experience and excitement to continuously improve the way we develop and deliver, with the flexibility to know how to help cater these principles to our environment and teams.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Scrum Master for multiple teams with a focus on promoting Agile values and practices as well as a culture of continuous improvement
  • Guide teams through the Daily Scrum, Planning, Refinement, Review, and Retrospective ceremonies. Work closely with Product Manager/Product Owner and Development Lead counterparts to ensure user stories in the backlog are 'development-ready' and that deliverables and timeframes are consistent with business priorities
  • Foster team productivity by removing impediments and shielding the team from outside distractions
  • Assist teams with a hands-on leader approach from inception to delivery of work
  • Work with Product Owners to understand and follow the Scrum process; own and prioritize their respective product backlogs
  • Create metrics to provide teams and the organization with relevant feedback
  • Develop an understanding of our products and vision
  • Experiment with and integrate processes and tools that encourage continuous improvement
  • Be a skilled communicator with a focus on commitment, courage, focus, openness, and respect
  • As the organization grows, assist with onboarding, adoption, and growth of the Scrum process for new team members and new teams
  • Work with stakeholders across the organization to increase their understanding of Agile methodologies and in particular Scrum

Required Qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • 5+ years of Development and/or other IT experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master
  • 3+ years of experience with Azure DevOps
  • In-depth knowledge of Scrum, and Agile development techniques
  • Experience with large-scale application development
  • Quick thinking, with intuitive problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple technical and business teams
  • Experience working with large, small, remote, and collocated Scrum teams
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
  • Required knowledge and experience managing team’s responsible for software design/development, testing, technical operations and support
  • Strong leadership, presentation, and troubleshooting skills
  • Coaching and mentorship experience is a plus
  • Comfortable operating in rapidly changing environments
